The Vienna-based Texas singer-songwriter Douglas Linton performs original songs that cover a broad spectrum of Americana music, staying true to the folk, soul, blues, songster tradition, while at the same time carrying that tradition forward with vivid storytelling and an undeniable rhythmic pulse. Kurier has called him a “brilliant songwriter” and “secret cultural ambassador of the USA”. He is joined by the talented pianist Ben Brokke whose playing goes from soft heartbeakers to set-fire-to-the-piano Jerry Lee Lewis numbers.

Influences include Jerry Lee, Dylan, John Prine, John Hurt, Lyle Lovett, Lightnin’ Hopkins and Lead Belly.
